RENOVO Spiritual Life Survey Announcement

In the spring of 2023, First Presbyterian Church had 115 responses to a congregational wide spiritual life survey called RENOVO. This was great participation that showed a lot of enthusiasm for developing the ways the church helps people become more like Christ. Over the past two-years, we contracted with Ascending Leaders for coaching to guide Rev. Michael Hansen and leadership through ways to respond to the RENOVO results. This has shown itself in yearlong Bible reading plans, the types of sermon series given, and coaching on how to share one’s faith story.
The RENOVO data revealed a strong core of spiritual depth across the congregation while indicating various areas to address (i.e., spiritual accountability, Bible reading, tithing, and clear discipleship steps). We have taken some steps to strengthen these areas in the past two year, but there are still opportunities ahead of us. As we reach the two-year mark since the church first took the survey, we hope for you to participate in the survey again. The follow up survey will provide a mechanism for leadership to celebrate our progress and assess where to focus our efforts for the future. Everyone 18 years of age and older may participate in the survey. If you completed it the first time, please take it again. If you did not take it in 2023, please take it anyway because your participation helps assess where we are as a church. The RENOVO survey is anonymous. The link will be shared through church communication streams beginning on January 19 and continue through February 16th.
President of Ascending Leaders, Mike Johnson is scheduled to visit First Presbyterian Church again on April 6th to share with us our results and encourage us in our next season of discipleship as a church. Please be in prayer for FPC as we plan to take the RENOVO spiritual life survey again in 2025.
